Two Bills In Alaska Seek To Add Medicaid Work Requirements

Two Republican-sponsored bills in the Alaska legislature seek to add work requirements to the state's Medicaid program, making Alaska the latest in a growing list of states that are considering adding Medicaid work requirements . The bills would direct the state's health department to apply to CMS for a waiver that would require some of the state's Medicaid beneficiaries to participate in employment, school or job training for at least 20 hours a week as a condition of retaining coverage...
