NIH Asks Court To Dismiss KEI CAR-T Licensing Lawsuit

The National Institutes of Health is asking a federal court to dismiss a lawsuit brought by Knowledge Ecology International challenging the agency’s plan to issue Kite Pharma an exclusive license to a government-developed CAR-T cancer therapy. In April KEI sued NIH in the federal district court of Maryland , alleging the agency violated the Administrative Procedure Act after NIH determined KEI could not appeal the agency's plan to issue the exclusive license.
