New York Doctor Sentenced After Importing Cheaper Cancer Drugs

A New York doctor has been fined $7,500 after pleading guilty to receiving and delivering misbranded drugs, which were imported by a Canadian distributor, the Department of Justice announced Monday. The physician, Vincent Koh, purchased the drugs after a company faxed him an offer to provide cheaper oncology drugs -- namely a non-FDA approved version of the biologic Rituxan.
