Grassley Presses CMS To Publicly Release Hospital Inspection Reports

Senate Judiciary Committee Chair Chuck Grassley (R-IA) said in a recent letter to CMS Administrator Seema Verma (Sept. 18) that the Joint Commission, which CMS uses as an accrediting agency, appears to be unable to aggressively enforce standards for hospitals, and pressed the agency to publicly release all hospital inspection records.
