Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam (D) signed into law Thursday (June 7) a state budget that will expand Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act and make up to 400,000 people newly eligible for coverage while also requiring that the state seek CMS’ permission to add work requirements to the program.
