Final Farm Bill Omits Agriculture Association Health Plan Provision

The final farm bill heading to the president’s desk omits a provision included in the House version that would have authorized a one-time $65 million appropriation to promote agricultural association health plans. The provision would have allowed the Agriculture secretary to make up to 10 loans for the purposes of establishing an agriculture AHP, and to issue grants covering technical assistance from fiscal 2019 through 2022.
