CMS Awards Grants For Medicaid, CHIP Enrollment In Native Communities

CMS on Monday (Jan. 13) announced it awarded nine grants to communities in six states aimed at increasing outreach and enrollment in Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program in American Indian and Alaska Native communities. According to CMS, the total funding for all the grants is under $6 million and be used to help Native American and Alaska Native families apply for and renew Medicaid and CHIP enrollment.
