ACA Advocates Praise Baldwin Push For $600M In Enrollment Assistance

Health care advocates are praising Sen. Tammy Baldwin’s (D-WI) legislative proposal to help the estimated 6 million Americans who’ve lost their job-based insurance due to the pandemic find other coverage. The COVID-19 Enrollment Response (COVER) Act, introduced Thursday (Sept. 10), would provide $600 million for such assistance, building off the Affordable Care Act’s navigator program that is designed to help consumers shop for plans on the exchanges.
