Approps Deal Limits Medicaid DME Pay To Offset Cost Of World Trade Center Health Program

The spending deal reached by House lawmakers late Tuesday night looks to offset the cost of reauthorizing the World Trade Center Health Program by limiting federal Medicaid payments for durable medical equipment to Medicare rates decided by competitive bidding, an offset DME suppliers had hoped would instead be used to mitigate Medicare payment cuts in rural areas.
