The Senate 340B Working Group may soon introduce a bipartisan bill to rein in operational issues and covered entity practices that appear to be pulling the 340B drug discount program away from its mission to provide affordable medications to low-income, rural and otherwise underserved communities, Senate health committee chair Bill Cassidy (R-LA) said Thursday (Oct. 23) during the committee’s second hearing on the program this year.
