Cassidy Is Fine With AMA Writing CPT Codes -- If They Are Publicly Accessible

Senate health committee Chair Bill Cassidy (R-LA) told Inside Health Policy Thursday (Oct. 23) he’s fine with the American Medical Association (AMA) remaining in charge of the Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) code system so long as the billing codes are freely accessible to the public.
