Monarez: ACIP Poised To Alter Vaccine Schedule Without Evidence

Ousted Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Director Susan Monarez told senators Wednesday (Sept. 17) that CDC’s vaccine advisory committee is preparing to change the childhood immunization schedule without credible data to justify the move, and that her refusal to rubber-stamp the decision is what led to her unprecedented firing by HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. after just a month on the job.
