Public Citizen: Foreign Nations Not To Blame For U.S. Drug Prices

Public Citizen is pushing back hard against the Trump administration’s suggestion that foreign nations are “freeloading” on American pharmaceutical innovation, arguing in its filed comments to the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) that the real culprit behind soaring U.S. drug costs is domestic policy that allows drugmakers unchecked monopoly pricing power.
