Bipartisan HHS Budget Bill Rejects Trump-Proposed NIH, CDC Funding Cuts, With No Mention Of RFK Jr.’s AHA

In the first Republican rebuke of HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s massive health department overhaul, Senate appropriators from both parties voted Thursday (July 31) to restore the Trump administration’s 40% cut to National Institutes of Health (NIH) funding and conspicuously left out of the HHS spending bill Kennedy’s proposed Administration for a Healthy America (AHA), the pinnacle of his Make America Healthy Again agenda.
