Advocates Defend Medicaid With Appeal To Trump, Massive Ad Campaign

As Republicans explore major Medicaid cost-cutting reforms, advocates are continuing to make their case that lawmakers shouldn’t pursue a federal funding cap nor institute work requirements and other reforms -- and while more than 425 national and state organizations wrote directly to President Donald Trump urging him to protect Medicaid, one advocacy organization launched a multi-million advertisement campaign on Tuesday (Jan. 21) to push the message “Hands Off Medicaid.”
