CMS: States Must Comply With Medicaid Eligibility Reqs By Dec. 31, 2026

CMS’ latest guidance gives states that aren’t meeting current federal Medicaid eligibility requirements until Dec. 31, 2026, to correct their deficiencies -- an important timeline that will keep states from inappropriately dropping Medicaid beneficiaries from coverage, say two Democratic leaders in health care policy.
