FDA Spending Bill Poses Obstacle As House Resumes Approps Process

The House is resuming its appropriations process after electing new Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA), but the spending bill that funds FDA could be an obstacle to his efforts to wrap up passage of all 12 appropriations bills in the next few months as divisions in the GOP caucus remain over abortion language in the bill and funding levels for FDA are leagues apart in the House and Senate bills.
