Lawmakers Gather Support For Medicare Pay Revamp As E&C Preps MACRA Hearing

As a House Energy & Commerce panel prepares to step up congressional efforts to reform the Medicare physician payment system with an oversight hearing Thursday (June 22), two bipartisan sets of lawmakers are separately pushing bills that would tie physician fee schedule updates to the Medicare Economic Index and mitigate cuts tied to CMS’ changes to clinical labor policies.
