Vaccine makers on Tuesday (Oct. 26) announced efforts to boost mRNA vaccine supply and manufacturing in Africa, with BioNTech saying it will begin building the first mRNA manufacturing site in the African Union and Moderna announcing it will supply the region with up to 110 million doses of its COVID-19 vaccine, but the People’s Vaccine Alliance says both companies should also share their technology and manufacturing know-how with the World Health Organization.
