Acting FDA chief Janet Woodcock told lawmakers Tuesday (July 20) that states with unused COVID-19 vaccines set to expire soon should hold onto their doses in case data support extending the expiration dates, after reports surfaced that states’ requests to redistribute their vaccine supplies to other countries in need were denied by the federal government.
