GAO Finds VA Pays Less For Drugs, Boosting Part D Negotiation Push

The Veterans Affairs Department paid 54% less for drugs than Medicare Part D in 2017, according to a study of 399 brand and generic drugs that the Government Accountability Office conducted for incoming Senate Budget Chair Bernie Sanders (I-VT).
