CMS on Monday (March 23) approved emergency Medicaid waivers for 11 more states, giving them more flexibility to respond to the coronavirus outbreak. The 1135 waivers eliminate some prior authorization requirements and provider enrollment requirements, suspend certain nursing home pre-admission reviews, and ease reimbursement to providers for care delivered in alternative settings due to facility evacuations, among other flexibilities.
