Nebraska Submits Waiver Seeking Two-Tiered Medicaid Expansion

CMS is reviewing Nebraska’s proposal to adopt a two-tiered version of Medicaid expansion in which beneficiaries would have to satisfy a work requirement and other criteria in order to qualify for full Medicaid benefits. The state last week submitted an 1115 waiver application laying out the proposal, and CMS on Wednesday (Dec. 18) opened a 30-day public comment period on the waiver.
