DOJ Asks Appeals Court To Pause TX ACA Case Over Shutdown

The Department of Justice is asking a federal appeals court in Texas to pause proceedings in the case over the Affordable Care Act due to the ongoing government shutdown. Without a pause, all parties in Texas v. Azar would be required to respond by Jan. 17 to House Democrats’ motion to intervene, according to DOJ, which opposes the House request.
