DOJ Asks Court To Reject Short-Term Rule Injunction

The Trump Administration is arguing that the stakeholders seeking to immediately suspend new federal regulations on short-term plans fail to show that they would be harmed by the rule and therefore their request for a preliminary injunction should be rejected. The Department of Justice (DOJ) further argues that rule does not exceed its regulatory authority because the rule largely restores the regulatory framework that existed prior to a 2016 Obama-era change.
