Unless California, New York, Oregon and Alaska include plans to join licensure compacts in their Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) applications due Nov. 5, they could miss out on a small amount of federal dollars because they are not members of any of the five licensure compacts CMS will account for when allocating $25 billion in program funding, an Inside Health Policy review of all 50 states’ participation in the compacts found.
