Stakeholders To CMS: Immediately Strip Requirement That Telehealth Providers Report Home Address

Providers and telehealth stakeholders are stepping up pressure on CMS to extend an about-to-expire COVID-19 waiver that has allowed telehealth providers to conceal their home addresses from CMS and Medicare beneficiaries. The groups say providers’ safety will be at risk and telehealth discouraged if the waiver lapses at year’s end and telehealth providers have to report home addresses as sites of care on Medicare enrollment and claims forms.
