House Passes Two-Year Telehealth Extension

The House late Wednesday overwhelmingly passed bipartisan legislation to extend key Medicare COVID-19 telehealth flexibilities for two years -- but key telehealth lobbyists are divided on whether the bill has enough support to pass the Senate. Although the telehealth bill garnered strong bipartisan House support, Republican lawmakers were upset that Democrats sidestepped the normal committee process and fast-tracked the bill to the House floor with minimal discussions.
