Experts Say Telehealth Could Stem Nurse Shortage, Augment Training

As the health care workforce crisis continues to hammer providers across the country, and an 8% vacancy rate for nursing faculty causes nursing programs to turn eligible students away, experts at a March 14 Bipartisan Policy Center panel said increased reliance on telehealth could help solve the staff shortage and connect nursing students with retired nurses for support when nurse faculty are otherwise engaged.
