Fight Over Senate Finance Drug-Pricing Bill Intensifies

The fight over Senate drug pricing legislation is intensifying as we enter the third week of the August congressional recess. Senate Finance staff have initiated negotiations with their House counterparts on drug-pricing legislation. The plan is to pressure Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) to hold a vote on a drug-pricing bill that Senate Finance passed before recess by first getting the House to pass similar legislation.
