AMA Delegates Approve Amended Resolutions On IRA Oncology Impacts, IMG Residency Reform; Adopt Slew Of Other Resolutions Without Debate

After a lengthy floor debate, the American Medical Association’s House of Delegates adopted two amended resolutions on Monday (Nov. 17), one that directs the organization to study how the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) is affecting oncology and other specialty practices, and another aimed at strengthening pathways to permanent residency for international medical graduates (IMG).
