CMS Changes Rate Filing Deadlines, Increases Review Threshold

CMS pushed back the 2019 rate filing deadline to July 25 for states with a rate review program and keep it at June 1 for the handful of states without a rate review program, and also approved a new rule allowing insurers to submit new, higher rates for insurance plans without government oversight, changing the rate review threshold from 10 to 15 percent.
