White House Establishes Permanent Pandemic Preparedness Office

The White House is creating a permanent office for pandemic preparedness that will assume responsibility for the government’s response to COVID-19, monkeypox and future pathogens and biological threats, and will also oversee HHS’ efforts to develop and procure next-generation vaccines, the Biden administration announced Friday (July 21).
