Verma Touts New Medicaid Work Requirements As Early Christmas Gifts

CMS Administrator Seema Verma said on Twitter that “Christmas came early” for Michigan and Maine as the agency announced Friday (Dec. 21) that it has approved Medicaid work requirements in those states. A total of seven states have now received CMS’ permission to require some Medicaid beneficiaries to work as a condition of maintaining coverage.
