U.S. Purchases Up To 600 Million Doses of Pfizer and BioNTech Vaccine

HHS and the Department of Defense will provide Pfizer and BioNTech with up to $1.95 billion for 100 million doses of its COVID-19 vaccine once it receives an emergency use authorization or FDA approval, and the federal government will have the ability to acquire up to 500 million more doses of the drug company’s vaccine.
