Treasury Now Says It May Cap Level Of Subsidies Those Found Ineligible Must Repay

A Treasury spokesperson clarifies that consumers who receive tax credits to purchase exchange coverage and are late found ineligible will be required to repay subsidies but the amount may be limited to a fixed cap, backtracking on comments to Inside Health Policy Thursday that such consumers would be on the hook for all payments.
