Title X Providers, ACLU Sue HHS Over Millions In Withheld Funds

HHS’ decision to withhold $65.8 million in Title X funding lacked justification and was a sudden departure from the department’s own prior understanding of the reproductive funding grants, advocates for the industry and the American Civil Liberties Union said in a lawsuit against HHS filed Thursday (April 24), which also alleges the administration targeted for cuts grantees that mentioned on their websites diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI).
