Stalemate Over EPTCs Extension Continues Into Day 2 Of Gov Shutdown

Negotiations to reopen the federal government remained stalled Thursday (Oct. 2) with Democrats saying they won’t agree to a continuing resolution until they receive in writing GOP proposals to work with the minority party on their priorities, including extending the enhanced Affordable Care Act tax credit before open enrollment begins on Nov. 1.
