Stakeholders Seek APM Bonus Extension As Lawmakers Weigh MACRA Reform

Accountable Care Organizations, physician groups and other health care stakeholders are receiving a positive reception as they press lawmakers to extend the bonus payments tied to alternative pay models -- which are set to expire at the end of the year -- as part of broader discussions on reforming Medicare’s physician payment system to adequately reimburse doctors.
