Nursing homes say a new CMS guidance opening visitation for residents during the latest wave of the COVID-19 pandemic should be reversed, but CMS appears to be standing firm on visitation rights and beneficiary advocates say visitation is necessary and lockdowns earlier in the pandemic did not work.
