Senate Finance Floats 30 Pages Of Chronic Care Policy Options

The Senate Finance Committee on Friday (Dec. 18) published a long list of policy options for improving care of the chronically ill. The 30-page bipartisan paper includes such options as making Medicare's home health pilot a permanent program, expanding the types of services that Medicare Advantage and accountable care organizations cover, paying more broadly for telehealth services, improving behavioral health services, and changing risk adjustment so Medicare pays plans more for chronically ill patients.
