President Barack Obama pledged Friday (Jan. 30) to include $5 million in his 2016 budget request to support the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology's efforts around interoperability as the ONC simultaneously unveiled a draft roadmap including a goal of allowing individuals and providers to send, receive, find and use a common set of electronic clinical information nationally by the end of 2017.
