The country’s major brand drug lobby stands against CMS’ proposal to mandate participation in a years-long CMS Innovation Center (CMMI) model intended to test whether upstream management of chronic diseases could lead to fewer hospitalizations and unnecessary procedures for seniors with heart failure or lower back pain.
