The nursing home industry immediately hit back at the Biden administration’s plan to condition Medicare and Medicaid participation on employee vaccination against COVID-19, with some arguing that workers across the health care system should face the same mandates and singling out nursing homes would only exacerbate the industry’s workforce shortage and financial challenges.
