Nursing Homes Ask CMS To Change Nursing Home Compare Alert Icon

The American Health Care Association called on CMS on Friday (Oct. 11) to change its new nursing home alert icon, saying it will completely deter consumers from nursing homes rather than help them understand the quality of the nursing home. CMS announced last Monday (Oct. 7) that the icon, a red stop sign with a hand on it, would be added to Nursing Home Compare on Oct. 23 to notify consumers of nursing homes that have been cited for abuse...
