As several additional universities prepare to respond to the Trump administration’s demands linking federal research funding to political terms, National Institutes of Health scientists tell Inside Health Policy similar top-down pressure is spreading within the agency, prompting researchers to self-censor and alter their research focuses to avoid running afoul of the administration.
