CDC’s Immunization Safety Office (ISO) conducted “scientifically robust, timely, and effective” monitoring of vaccine safety risks during the pandemic, according to a recent report released by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine, but public trust in vaccines still fell, due in part to the office’s failure to effectively communicate about its work.
