Congress’ Medicare pay advisors recommended for 2024 pay raises for hospitals -- though not as large as hospitals wanted -- and a pay raise for physicians along with extra so-called Medicare safety-net pay on Thursday (Jan. 12) as Chair Michael Chernew noted the turbulent and uncertain landscape providers face.
