The Trump administration is laying plans to ask Congress to slash HHS’ discretionary budget by a whopping 30%, or $40 billion, in fiscal 2026, according to a White House Office of Management and Budget draft 2026 budget document first reported by The Washington Post Wednesday (April 16).
