Lawmakers To CMS: Insulate ACOs From Fraud They Didn’t Commit

House Ways & Means health subcommittee Chair Vern Buchanan (R-FL) and other GOP lawmakers are applauding CMS for efforts to tackle waste, fraud and abuse, but they say the agency needs to quickly make sure that accountable care organizations are not penalized when Medicare fraud occurs.
